Synopsis:
The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers, (ASCAP) voted its score the best ever written for a Broadway musical.
GYPSY is the ultimate tale of an ambitious stage mother fighting for her daughters’ success… while secretly yearning for her own. Set all across America in the 1920’s and 30’s, when vaudeville was dying and Broadway was born, Arthur Laurents’ landmark musical explores the true love of show business with brass, humor, heart, and a dream.
The celebrated score by Jule Styne and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim boasts one glorious hit after hit, including: “Let Me Entertain You,” “Some People “Everything’s Coming Up Roses,” and “You Gotta Get A Gimmick“
